Teachings Of The Rose

I have always adored roses, the scent, the velvety texture, the spiral of her petals, the blossoming, the thorns, the beauty and the five pointed green star that is left behind as her stem after the last petal falls.

Her essence is pure and reminds us of the importance of self-care, to slow down and cultivate stillness within, nurture our soul and well-being. The essence of LOVE.

I have three rose bushes in my garden as I write, two climbing roses and one miniature rose bush. I collect their petals and dry them, I use their flowers in my distance Reiki and Crystal healing sessions leaving offerings and words of gratitude as I do so.

Over the past few years I have been working with the energetics of the Rose. She is embedded within my ancestral lineage. She is resilient, she has what she needs within herself to grow and bloom. She goes into hibernation during the winter months and stores her energy ready for Spring and Summer when she dials up her light to share her beauty with the world. She is not afraid to reach for the sun and soak up the sol codes, she is soft and attracts bees with her unique sweet essence. She smiles and sways as one enjoys her beauty and scent. This is her purpose. She is the divine feminine.

She moves with the cycles of nature and is aligned with Venus, her petals fall and nourish Mother Earth - but in death there is rebirth. She states her boundaries with her thorns.

For me, the essence and teachings of the Rose link with the Ancients and Venusian Temples. A sacred mystical flower where priestesses of Goddess Isis would cultivate roses in sacred gardens, believing them to be conduits of divine feminine wisdom and spiritual awakening. I believe this even stems back earlier in time to Lemuria (Mu) where mystics would decode her language and frequencies transcending gender.

If working with the Rose speaks to you here are some ideas as how you can work with her on daily basis:

  • Drink rose petal tea

  • Grow or purchase your own roses

  • Bathe in her petals and scent

  • Use pure rose essential oils

  • Annoint your heart and higher heart chakras daily with rose infused ritual oils (you may like to try my Crystalline Heart and / or Devotion Ritual Oils- these have be a personal game changer for me)

  • Work with Rose during lunar phases, particulary the full moon

  • Focus on acts of kindness, gratitude, peace, harmony, compassion and self-care

  • Journaling with roses

  • Work with Venus whose orbit creates a five petalled rose in the sky

  • Womb wisdom work

I feel that the Rose is a multidimensional energy that provides us with divine teachings that assist us to identify our unique essence and cultivate habits that align us with our personal bliss.

She is a sacred mystic guide who is a link to not only the past but also a guide for our personal journey forward. May you open and bloom as you work with her and form a sacred, mystical relationship filled with the purest of love to share with the world.
